Blog Templates!!

Hey people,

One of the most frustrating thing for me here is to be able to find a decent blog template. The ones that are offered by Blogger.com were cool in the beginning, but none of them is really "me." I have spent countless hours on the net, looking for a decent blog template, and the ones that I did find were cool, had to be paid for! I have a brother working for an internet web-designing company (his company's link is down there on the right side: Connect 2 Web) and I have unashamedly asked for him to help me desidn a blog template for me, but he has been so busy. I guess I have changed my blog template more times than a peacock has feathers! I will continue to do this, till the day I find a blog that I feel represents "me!"

Good luck.

I just kinda liked the ones I came across. But my html is weak so I haven't been brave enough to try anything more than minor changes.

Get a book, from the library even, on html code and frames and all such fun stuff...and set about creating your own template.

Yeah, I wish I could get a book and sit down and learn the html. I know some basics partts of it, but I really need to invest more time! Not that I have bad time management time skills or something, but I just don't have the time to do it. I may do it over the summers though. I get two weeks off!

The thing is that since I am putting my 'life' out there on the blog, I want for the template to also speak for me. I want ticker tapes, flashing icons, and other weird stuff! I finally managed to get the moody faces on there!!! Thank God!

here s a brain teasr for you

define 'me' so that you can refflect that in your template

and how can you refflect 'me' via a template whats the connection

lets se how good yr philosophical thinking is??

Hmmmm, so I am being challened, eh? =)

I wish I could define who the real "me" is here, but I would like to keep some of my more personal sides of me in private. When I say I want a template that reflects me, what I am saying is that I want a template that I can feel 'connected' to; something that I feel comfortable with.

The templates available here are good creations, but there is one thing or the another that just doesn't fit who I am. Maybe it is the color scheme, the shapes of the boxes, the borders, the layout, one thing or another. As it is, my blog is about my life, hence the name, Life of Mansur. I just thought that when people come to my blog, they also get to see glimpses of who I am in the way my template is setup. If you look at the broad ranges of some of the blogs on the internet, you can see that many have modified templates to reveal the personality of the person: the fonts, the colors, the positionings of the text, the graphics, the images and so on.

Hope that helps.

Oceandream---i sure will let you know. I have all these ideas in my head about my blog, but I am not yet competent in mastering HTML, which is why I want to sit down with my brother and sort my blog out. He is not even in the same country as me, so that is hard to do. One day, when I finally figure it out, I will let you know. Mind you , I am not even happy with the one I have now....you might see a different one in two weeks time! lol!

i liked your old template...wain ra7?

I know those books for dummies are awesome. There is also another one called K.I.S.S ones, and they are really meant to be Keep It Simple, Stupid, but the book makers titles it Keep It Simple Series. Yeah, maybe I should do that when I am free over the summer.

The old template was grey and dull. I did not like it. It did not represent me. If you liked it, maybe that template spoke to you! =) I am still looking for a cool template.

hi again,

what is "wain ra7?"

I have noticed that a lot of the arabic when written in english include numbers as well. Is that a new trend? How long has it been going on for?
